Fun Facts
- Doug E. Fresh was born Doug E. Davis. Self-proclaimed as The Original Human Beatbox, i.e. being able to imitate the sound of a rhythm machine.
- The Get Fresh Crew included MC Ricky D (later known as Slick Rick when he went solo), Barry Bee, and Chill Will.
- In 1998 Slick Rick released his first solo album "The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick" on Def Jam/Columbia Records. Around the same time Doug E. Fresh & The Get Fresh Crew released "The World's Greatest Entertainer" (1988) and "Summertime" (1989), both on Reality/Danya Records. Since MC Ricky D had already gone solo by 1988, I have no clue as to who was in the Get Fresh Crew at this point. Obviously they would be the same Crew who recorded "Spirit" for the GB2 soundtrack.
- In 1992 Doug E. Fresh & The New Get Fresh Crew released "Doin' What I Gotta Do" on Bust It/Capitol Records. This "New" crew was composed of Miss Jones, Chill Will, and Barry Bee.
