• The members of The Thompson Twins are (left to right in photo above) Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie, and Joe Leeway - though originally there were seven members.
• Here's a little history on the song: In March 1982 The Thompson Twins release the album "Set" and the single "In The Name Of Love." When the single and album fail to make a substantial impact on the British charts, the group splits in April 1982. The irony becomes more apparent as the song "In The Name Of Love," which splits the band down its creative middle, is to become their signature song of their early period and the stepping stone to North American success. "In The Name Of Love" becomes one of the biggest US dance songs of the decade, spending five weeks topping the Billboard charts. As a stop-gap (read: contract-releasing), 1988 sees "In The Name Of Love" (with an '88 attached to the end of it) go to the top of the US Dance Charts again, included on "The Best Of Greatest Mixes."
