This is something I've thought about for a long time, but always failed to mention to all of you.

I've noticed that the original three GBs are similar to The Chipmunks. Check out this comparison I made.

Alvin & Peter -- the womanizer and guy who thinks he's the leader of the group.
Simon & Egon -- the brainy one with glasses
Theodore & Ray -- child-like, a little pudgie

Does this mean Winston is stuck as Dave?

Geez, trigger a horrible crossover fanfic idea, why don't you? I have this scary but somehow intriguing image of Peter, Egon, and Eay being posssessed by the personalities of the Chipmunks and rnning amok in the Firehouse...
