Merchandise
This page will not list all of the Ghostbusters II merchandise that has ever been created. Just the items that I find most interesting. Of course, some merchandise can be found in other parts of this site (such as home videos, soundtrack albums, comic books, etc.). This is just the stuff that doesn't warrant its own page. Some of these items can be purchased in the store.

Ralston-Purina - The New Ghostbusters Movie Mystery Sweepstakes (1989)

Back with the release of the second movie, Ralston, makers of the Ghostbusters cereal, held a contest to meet an actual Ghostbuster. To win the contests, kids would look inside their box of cereal (a number of Ralston brands besides the Ghostbusters cereal, including Cookie Crisp, were part of the contest) and find a Flexi-disc inside. The Flexi-disc contained an announcer (Rob Paulsen) and "Egon Spengler" (Maurice Lamarche from The Real Ghostbusters) [Rob and Maurice would later go on to be Pinky and the Brain]. Over a minute was spent telling kids to see the new movie before Egon read a series of really easy questions. Kids would then send in their answers and hopefully win. There were two versions of the disc (Buy more cereal kids!). Essentially, they are both the same, audio wise, only Egon asks a different set of questions. Both discs are black, but while one is printed in gold the other is printed in blue. Image, Text, and Version 2 provided by Chris Stewart (used with permission). Version 1 was provided by myself, Paul Rudoff.
