Music Video

Higher and Higher is a song that pre-dates the movie by over twenty years. The song was released in 1967, but the music video was clearly made years later. The video is about a woman who is attending a Jackie Wilson concert on Valentine's Day, waiting for her boyfriend to show up. Meanwhile, the boyfriend is getting ready for the concert when, through a series of mishaps, his ticket flies out the window and lands on the ledge of his apartment building. He goes out on the ledge to try to retrieve it, so that he can still make it to the concert, albeit late.

The video is set in the 1970s, but the brief use of claymation in it may date it to 1986 or 1987. In 1986 a new claymation video was made for Jackie's song "Reet Petite" which reached number one in the United Kingdom. This song reached number eleven in the UK charts in 1987, and the music video may have been made then, intentionally set in the 1970s so as to match the concert footage of Jackie, which was clearly taken from a 1970s performance.
