Favorite Real Ghostbusters Episode #23
A time warp on Christmas Eve takes the Ghostbusters back to Victorian England where they trap the three Ghosts of Christmas, thus putting an end to Christmas. In order to restore it, they must pose as the three ghosts while Egon enters the containment unit to rescue them. Genius! Pure genius, doing a cross-over with Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". And it works so perfect, too. I wonder how many kids watching this episode back in 1986 even knew that this was a cross-over. 4 comments

I still have the episode on VHS from when it re-aired on Fox Family Channel. I always thought the Ghostbusters franchise did a superb job capturing that element of Halloween meets Christmas. Light and Dark.
Hey Paul, I found this little treasure on flickr. Submitted by a member named ronsrandomstuff: ![]() Just in time for Halloween, eh?

I have to wonder how many little kids watching it even knew that the characters came from an old novel.
Thanks for the posting of the RGB magazine Fall 1989 cover. Yes, it IS very appropriate at this time of the year. This would probably be a good time to mention that Ghostbusters International has several issues of the magazine online for your reading pleasure, including the Fall 1989 issue.
