Ecto Across America (mass hand-holding NOT required)

This weekend is Dragon*Con in Atlanta, Georgia and the gang over on the GB Fans forums have decided to use that event as the basis for PKE Surge 2009, which is set to be the largest gathering of Ghostbusters fans in years. The festivities actually start several days earlier on Monday August 31st when, in what is known as "Ecto Across America", the brand new Ecto-2k (the 2008 Dodge Magnum built by Boomerjinks), rigged with GPS and Internet connectivity, will be coming to nine major U.S. cities over a seven day trek to and from Dragon*Con. Starting tomorrow you can go online and see a live feed of where they are at any time during the trip. The site will updated regularly - several times per hour - with photos and status updates. Be sure to check it out as it happens.

As for the PKE Surge 2009 event itself, that will take place at Dragon*Con from Friday Sept 4th through Monday Sept 7th. GBFans and GBTV will both have tables there and The Ghostheads Podcast will be joining in as well. The GBFans table will be giving away and selling all kinds of things ranging from T-Shirts, Wristbands, Lanyards, Buttons and flyers.
