This is a list of questions that come up quite often. They are in no particular order. I VERY STRONGLY suggest that you read this WHOLE document BEFORE you E-Mail me.
Miscellaneous
Q: I can't play the wavs on your site?
A: For help with wavs, see the WAV Help page.
Q: I can't get the menus at the top of the screen to work?
A: The menus at the top of the screen on the GB1, GB2, etc. pages were done with JavaScript, so your browser MUST be able to handle JavaScript. If the box below says YES, then your browser CAN handle Java Script. If the box says NO, then your browser CAN'T handle Java Script. In this case, you MUST download the latest version of Netscape from the Website Toolbox.
Q: I'm designing my own web page. Can you help me out with some of the code?
A: I'm sorry, but again I am busy enough working on my own page to be helping other people build theirs. I will tell you one trick, though, that you should have learned before you even considered trying to write HTML code. Your browser has the capability to view the source code of the web page you are viewing. Check out how to do this in your browser's help section for more info.
Q: I have a web page. Could you put a link to my page on yours?
A: The answer is NO. My policy used to be that I would put a link to other people's pages only if they provided me with a reciprocal link. The problem is that I have been getting way too many messages from people who think that because they put a link to Spook Central on their page, they are entitled to have a link to their page on mine. Other people try to get a link on my page because they want a piece of the heavy visitor traffic that Spook Central gets, even if their web site has nothing at all to do with the content of this site. Due to these abuses, I will no longer be giving links to people who ask for them. If you want to put a link to my page on your site, feel free, but you are under no obligation to do so. If I do not allow other people to ask me for links, I cannot follow a double-standard and ask others to provide ME with a link. All sites that I've linked to on this site are considered by me to be good, original web sites. They are sites that interest me and have original material.
Q: Do you take requests?
A: No. So don't ask.
Q: You don't have what I'm looking for. Would you please go search the Internet for me to find it?
A: I just don't have the time available to look for files. If you need something in particular and you can't find it here, try one of the major search engines like MetaCrawler or another site covering similar materials as this one.
Q: Could you send me some files?
A: No. Everything that I want to provide to the public can be found on this site. You either download it here or you don't get it at all.
Q: What do these GB1, GB2, etc abbreviations mean?
A: These are the sort of "standard" abbreviations among us Ghostheads (GB fans). They mean:
GB - Ghostbusters
GB1 - "Ghostbusters"
GB2 - "Ghostbusters II"
GB3 - "Ghostbusters 3"
RGB - "The Real Ghostbusters"
SRGB - "Slimer! And The Real Ghostbusters"
EGB - "Extreme Ghostbusters"
Q: Where can I find blueprints so I can make my own GB props?
A: Bill Emkow's Ghostbusters Homepage is the place to go.
Q: Why don't you want ______ to be in GB3 or why don't you have this person do this in EGB?
A: I am NOT affiliated in any way with ANY of the Ghostbusters movies or television series. Any questions of that nature should be sent to Sony (the owners of the GB franchise).
Q: Where did you get all those Deleted Scene pics and sounds?
A: They come from a variety of sources, which includes: Criterion's GB1 laserdisc, the GB1 picture storybook, the GB2 picture storybook, the GB1 calendar, the GB1 novel, the GB2 novel, and some GB2 television spots.
Q: Where can I get printed versions of the Ghostbusters scripts?
A: You can print out copies of the GB1, GB2, and RGB scripts I have here on Spook Central. If you don't want to or can't do that, you can buy print copies of all scripts from The Script Shop. By the well, tell them Paul Rudoff from Spook Central sent you.
Q: Is "Ghostbusters" in Letterbox/Widescreen available on videotape? Have the deleted scenes of GB1 ever been released? Is there a version out there (Director's Cut, etc) with the deleted scenes in?
A: There is no official version, but you can get a copy of the GB1 Criterion Collection CAV laserdisc from Samhaine's Tape Trading. The laserdisc has the film in it's original widescreen (nee Letterbox) format, as well as two deleted scenes and lots of other supplemental materials. I gave him my original master copy (which came direct from my laserdisc). Samhain *will* accept cash, but only as a last resort. NOTE: Samhain is a very reputable dealer, otherwise I wouldn't recommend him. So, do NOT ask him if he'll rip you off, because he WON'T. Doing so will only get him mad, and will result in him not taking you as a customer. By the well, tell him Paul Rudoff from Spook Central sent you.
Q: Where can I get Real Ghostbusters episodes on videotape?
A: Besides home video, you can get copies of several episodes from Samhaine's Tape Trading.
