Taking on the fly the years Sony/Columbia seems to be convinced to release "Ghostbusters" back to theaters , for the movie 15th anniversary. However it's not over here , as Sony is known for , the giant japanese corporation has in its project to re launch the whole GB business , escorting the re-release with DVD, CD Soundtrack , and all sort of goodies . This is what is covered here , hoping that all this giant business leads us to Ghostbusters 3.
News & Rumors | 2 June| CTHV site know has in its catalogue the new VHS of Ghostbusters: 15th Ann edition. Well, same as the DVD , except the Widescreen GB1 which has a top class cover. GB2 Widescreen exist but ha no place in the catalog yet...
| 1 May | GBHQ has the official Press Release of the GB1 & GB2 VHS Release. According to the document , the tapes will features re mastered image quality ( as the DVD) and will be available in both pan&scan and widescreen (16:9) version , at different price. No additional feature will be included. | 27 Apr | Two different sources ( GBHQ and a Newsgroup messagage below) reports that new GB & GB2 video taps will be avaible on both Pan&Scan & Letter box versions. GBHQ also add that those will not include any special feature or addition.

I asked him to order me the GB2 Soundtrack CD from a major Swiss reseller ( Lazer Boulevard). The shop reported that the CD is not in production anymore but that SONY, from the info they give to resell, is planning to re-release them in a Special Box Set (GB1+ GB2?) by the End of First Quarter!!!
